Attorney Swanson practices in the areas of Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, Labor and Employment, Commercial Litigation and General Litigation. Attorney Swanson handles most of our firm’s criminal defense practice. He provides exceptional service and representation for clients charged with a wide variety of criminal charges including Class A felonies. He appears in all courts throughout the Connecticut criminal justice system. Attorney Swanson is an aggressive criminal defense attorney who works vigorously to protect our clients’ rights and liberty interests.
Attorney Swanson is a former prosecuting attorney whose experience in that position gives him an in-depth understanding and perspective of the criminal justice system and the factors prosecutors consider in resolving criminal charges. He uses this experience to evaluate not only the charges pending against our clients, but also to conduct the investigation necessary to present our clients in the most favorable light.
Attorney Swanson received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 1999 and B.S.B.A. from the University of Central Florida in 1995. He is admitted to practice in Washington State, Connecticut and before the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Hartford County Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Before joining Gould, Killian & Wynne, he was a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Snohomish County, Washington, a member of the National Order of the Barristers and Vice President, Moot Court Honor Board, 1997-1999.
